What is Traditional Acupuncture?
This is one of the oldest forms of healthcare in the world and has been practiced for thousands of years. Acupuncture looks at all aspects of an individual, the physical, emotional and mental. These are not separated they are all linked and interwoven. It is you the person who is treated not the illness so no two illnesses would be treated exactly the same because we are after all an, individual.
In western medicine we usually apply the sticking plaster effect, so treating the symptoms but not looking at the root cause. In Chinese medicine and acupuncture the root is treated along with the symptoms. All symptoms are viewed in relation to one another.
Traditional Acupuncture views signs of illness and pain as the body being out of balance, Traditional Acupuncture aims to restore this balance by the insertion of very fine needles into specific points on the body.
